Forest Lawn East Cemetery

3700 Forest Lawn Road, Matthews, NC

The program starts at 12pm but suggest arriving early and bring a chair if you’d like.  This is an outdoor event.

 After the protocol for the Wreaths Across America program has been met, teams from Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, The American Warrior Initiative, will be surprising 3 veterans with the gift of a service dog.   

After both programs are finished, the crowd will disburse to the areas assigned to them within the cemetery to lay wreaths. 

Come and help celebrate veterans, meet some amazing people and join in the fun. It is such an uplifting event for our vets. Keynote speaker Gold Star Mother Karen Vaughn from Stuart FL will be available and her book will be available to purchase for a donation and will be signed and gift wrapped at no additional cost if you so choose.   Larry Sprinkle, local WCNC weather personality, Congressman Dan Bishop and several other special groups/guests will be there.  It will be a magnificent day AND should be over no later than 1:30ish.
